Expressive Arts

Welcome to the Expressive ArtsTeam. We work together to ensure that the children at Nevill Road Junior School can access a broad, balanced and creative curriculum through the subject areas of Music, Art and Drama.

This term, members of the school choir will be performing at Stockport Town Hall along side other Stockport Schools. In April, we will be hosting the very first Year 2 Bramhall Cluster Music Festival and as part of our transition programme, Year 2 and Year 3 will also be performing the songs at the Junior School.

Last week the Junior school hosted the first Year 2 Bramhall Cluster Music festival where children from across four schools performed 'The Litter Muncher'. They were treated to a musical interval provided by some of the Year 6s, who played their instruments to the children. As part of our transition events, Year 2 and 3 also joined together to perform the mini musical.

The set for the Lion King Jnr is now complete, ready for next week's performance. If you haven't yet bought tickets, there are a few left that can be purchased at the school office. Thank you to the team who gave up their Saturday afternoon to create such a wonderful back drop. Judging by the standard of the dress rehearsals, families are in for another fabulous performance from our increadibly talented Performance Club children. Hannah, you have worked your magic again!
